There's been a bit of movement with fans regarding the Tobin's Spirit Guide stuff I did and talk of it getting updated and published. I don't know where the rights sit. We tried at IDW three years ago and Sony couldn't give us the license, which is how I ended up working on the comics in the first place, I'd heard that this MAY have changed since, so I suggest if you're interested in seeing something like this published, or have any sort of suggestions click the link below and let them know!

Again, I don't know if it IS even possible, as I haven't really had anything to do with IDW since I started working on Hoax Hunters at Image, but if they can't at least this is a good way to maybe get the word out and find out where it CAN be made possible!

Hey guys!

I'm going to be opening a small number of commissions for people attending the Sydney and Perth Supanova's as it's likely the last time I'll be heading out that way for a while, so if you're interested, let me know. Send me a note or email me, tweet me or whatever and let me know what you're after and we can discuss prices and the like depending on what you're looking for!

So, it's finally public... as of #10, I'll be taking over as the interior artist on Image Comics' HOAX HUNTERS, written by Steve Seeley and Michael Moreci! When you go to your comic stores today or tomorrow (if you're in the US), please consider putting your name down for this fantastic book. The demon I've designed for this thing is easily my favorite creature I've designed to date!

Things seem to be going strong at the moment for the book I'm working on with :iconchristiandibari:. If you guys are interested and want to secure a copy of something I'm already more excited about than any other project I've worked on to date, I suggest you get in now as there's only a week before we find out if this thing lives or dies!

Hit the link below for a somewhat candid piece I did for Bleeding Cool, which'll tell you all about it, have preview art and all that jazz, OR just hit the link below that one to go straight to the order site. YES, it's Australian, NO it's not Kickstarter (maybe read the article if you're a little put off), BUT we are shipping INTERNATIONALLY for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Getting back to work on Exodus tonight, so I'll be doing another warm-up sketch. Get your nominations in over the next couple of hours. Whatever creature/character gets the most nominations gets drawn ala my Totoro, Faun, Hellraiser and Skeksis sketches.

So, in two days, I'll be shutting down my facebook account and reigning in my internet presence to focus more on my work and that of others I enjoy, so you'll be seeing more of me around here. I've been pretty negligent of this whole thing for a while now, so I've decided to rectify the situation by buying a premium account. Hopefully it'll provide me with the incentive to make the most of things. Anyway, gonna be doing a monster sketch soon, so if there's a particular thing you want to see me draw, post it in the comments! The last couple of "vote-by-the-people" drawings were the Skeksis and Faun images, so check them out and start suggesting!

Peace!

So, on facebook (www.facebook.com/tyrannosaurus… and twitter (www.twitter.com/trexjones) I've been doing this thing where I take nominations for monsters or creatures to draw as a warm up for the day and the one with the most nominations or votes gets drawn. I'm going to open it up to here as well from now on. The last one I did was the Skeksis. Today it's looking like it'll either be Pinhead or Pan from Pan's Labyrinth. Anyway, vote now. Leave your pick in the comments. Whoever gets the most votes gets drawn.

Choices today are:

Pan
Pinhead
The Creature from the Black Lagoon
King Ghidorah

Many of you are probably aware of the book I'm writing for Diezelpunk and Gestalt Comics (in collaboration with non-other than Greg Mclean — the writer and director of Aussie horror classics "Wolf Creek" and "Rogue"), and our crowd funding campaign. If you're not, head over to the following link — www.pozible.com/sebastianhawks — and take a look at what we're doing. Now. Go on. It's important…

Alright, done that? Good! Here's what's happening: over the next week or so, we'll be introducing a number of artists who have very graciously decided to commit their time and talent to a super exclusive guest art gallery in the back of the book — it's an exclusive collection of pin-ups and pieces inspired by the character(s) we're setting up and have built this (hopefully) upcoming series of books around. Talent so far includes :iconchristiandibari: :icondanschoening: :icondouglasbot: :iconrobpaolucci: :iconjustinrandall: :iconthechamba: :iconmytymark: and more! Basically what happens this week is, over at the OZCOMICS facebook (www.facebook.com/ozcomics) page Greg, Wolf, Chris and myself will take a look at all the entries this week and will screen them for a possible spot in that gallery of artists in the first Sebastian Hawks book!

All you guys have to do is take a look at the character and see what you make of the world and then come up with a piece that you feel fits in with that world… think high adventure, danger, excitement, MONSTERS (very important!)… Just go wild — whatever comes to mind, go nuts, have fun, but just make sure it involves Hawks and/or his trusty assistant Benoit in some way.

Seriously, go crazy guys! If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them, so just fire away. There's already a pretty solid amount of material Chris, Greg and myself have been making available online to start generating ideas for pieces, so take a look around (maybe check out the interview Greg and I did at the All Star Comics Melbournelaunch with Joe from the NonCanonical Comic Podcast as well: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=…, or even check out Chris DiBari's instagram feed:instagram.com/christian_dibari…

Good luck, everyone!

Hey guys!

I'm in the midst of planning a rather large move that'll see me relocate from Australia to the United States, and it means I have to part with a lot of my stuff. If you're into Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, The Legend of Zelda, video games, blah, blah, blah, then take a look at what I've got for sale over on eBay. You may find something rad hidden in there! Hit this link for more (www.ebay.com.au/sch/weretowel/….

Also, when you get the opportunity, check out this interview I did last weekend for the launch of our crowd funded original graphic novel...! www.darkmatterfanzine.com/dmf/…

If you're in Melbourne and found yourself wondering "what can I do on the evening of this fine Friday that will enrich not just my own personal experience during my extended stay on the face of this beautiful place we call "Earth" but those of others here with me as well?" then come along and check out the Sebastian Hawks Pozible campaign launch at All Star Comics (410 Lonsdale Street)!

Greg Mclean (writer and director of Wolf Creek, Rogue and the upcoming Wolf Creek 2) has taken a leap of faith on me and put me in charge of Sebastian Hawks -- an action adventure series that sees the titular character working with Victorian era British Intelligence on some of their more... unusual missions. Christian DiBari, a good friend of mine will be lending his extraordinary artistic talents to the book, which (if they make the funding target) will be published by Mclean's newly founded Diezelpunk publishing label.

So, if you ARE in town, come down and check out the shindig (details here www.facebook.com/events/356184…, but if you aren't and would like to support us or even just know a little more hit the link below. The site is Australian based, but that doesn't limit support to Australia only -- anyone can help out (we'll be shipping worldwide) -- so take a look!

Thanks for you time and consideration (and support) and hopefully I'll see some of you tonight!

Hey everybody!

I've been laying low a bit lately, BUT I have a slew of new projects underway, including this one which I can finally reveal!

I've been working with film maker Greg MacLean (Rogue, Wolf Creek) on a creator owned project which I will be writing (YES, WRITING!! REMEMBER WHEN I DID THAT? ;) ) with art handled by Christian DiBari!

I'm really excited about it, and it's great to be writing again and in complete control of the stories I'm telling, so hopefully you'll see it in your hearts to support us all and get this book made and out to you guys! Hit the link for details!

Hey guys! Check it out! I was interviewed recently about my work on the upcoming TMNT Infestation books IDW invited me to write. It was a tough slog, having not written anything (let alone the Turtles) in a solid while, but we got there! Hopefully you'll all check it out!

Spread the word! We even got this from Kevin Eastman himself "the Infestation stuff is freaking awesome!!!"

Hey folks!

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes! Really is amazing to see the mount of love out there!

Secondly, as some of you may already know, I help out on the Ghostbusters comics coming out of IDW. What some of you may not know is that I used to write the Ninja Turtles comics about three years ago. Another thing you may not know is that IDW have asked me to write a two part TMNT horror comic, hitting stores in the first week of March.

Now, I'm sure you guys have all heard this, but I figured I'd get in and let you all know, comics live and die by preorder numbers made when the books are first advertised two months ahead of their release in a catalog called Previews (it's a big fat magazine every comic shop gets). Basically, you have to tell your comic shops two months in advance that you want this thing when it comes in.

In case you hadn't already put 2 and 2 together, I would be HUGELY appreciative if you comic fans out there gave this a look in, regardless of what you think of the Ninja Turtles book out there right now. I'm working with artist Mark Torres, and I think we've put together a pretty special little book that stands completely on its own. You don't need to read the main Turtles book or the main Infestation book, you just need to be a fan of horror, because that's what it is -- The Ninja Turtles vs Lovecraftian horrors deep below New York City.

If you're interested, I'll be posting teasers as my editor allows me to, so you can check them out by keeping an eye on my twitter or facebook pages (linked below), but make sure you get in to those comic shops now and preorder that sucker!

Thanks in advance guys!
