How are these not Quadlings? I'm holding the book here. They're ugly little people with no arms, wrinkly necks that extend and thick flat heads.

My apologies. I haven't been able to get my hands on the original books, so all I have to go off of is the description in Wicked. The two versions are vastly different.

Ah-ha! Wicked is VERY different to the source stuff my friend. Still, if you dug wicked, you really ought to read the original stuff. Wicked always kind of felt like a spin-off from the old movie to me.

Yeah, I got that feeling too. Wicked does describe some of the more remote regions of Oz, though. It made me put the original books on my "to read" list.
